1994年澤田広俊・奈美が共同でSTUDIO SAWADA DESIGN設立。愛知県常滑市を拠点に環境アートをプロデュースしている。その創造は、プロジェクトコンセプトに基づき、建築家、インテリアデザイナー、アートキュレーター、時には伝統工芸士との共同作業による。アートのモチーフは自然。多様な表情を持つ自然を、さまざまな素材を使いモダンに表現している。
STUDIO SAWADA DESIGN was founded in 1994 by Hirotoshi and Nami Sawada, and its creations are the result of collaborations with architects, interior designers and traditional craftsmen. They express its various facets with a modern sensibility and a variety of materials.

「尾張名古屋は城でもつ」
名古屋城の天守閣に輝く金の鯱は、平和と繁栄を祈念する象徴として知られています。
そのデザインは、伝説の霊鳥「鳳凰」の羽根を模した意匠が施されており、天と地を繋ぐ神聖な存在を表現している様に感じます。
この金鯱の一片が、まるで鳳凰の羽ばたきのようにこの間に集い、舞い上がる。
その様子は、まさに鳳凰が舞い降りる荘厳な雰囲気を醸し出します。
空間全体が、名古屋の象徴である金鯱の精神性を体現し、訪れる人々に平和と繁栄の願いを届けることでしょう。
The golden shachi (mythical lion-headed carp) shining atop the main tower of Nagoya Castle is known as a symbol of peace and prosperity. The design resembles the feathers of the legendary sacred bird, the phoenix, a being connecting the heavens and the earth. The scene evokes the solemn atmosphere of a phoenix descending. The entire space embodies the spiritual essence of the golden shachi, a symbol of Nagoya, wishing for peace and prosperity upon all those who visit.
