塩澤 正信 Masanobu Shiozawa
1973年長野県飯田市生まれ。2001年「全国建具展示会」に出品し、最年少で内閣総理大臣賞を受賞。2013年「日本美術展覧会」初入選。銀座ミキモト本店（東京）他、全国の百貨店で定期的に個展を開催。2019年「日本現代工芸美術展」現代工芸賞受賞。
Born in Nagano in 1973, he became the youngest recipient of the Prime Minister's Award in 2001. He regularly holds exhibitions at department stores around Japan, and in 2019, he won the Contemporary Crafts Award.

麟鳳亀龍の掛け合いと、その側に咲く花々をテーマに製作させていただきました。限られた面積の中で絵画的なデザインを表現するために、一つ一つの部品を薄く小さく加工しました。伝統的な組子の柄の「桜」、オリジナルの技術で製作した「藤」や「菊」の花は、1枚の花弁に何箇所もノコギリで加工を施しています。色彩にもこだわり、全7種類（ウォールナット、神代欅、木曽檜、朴、ピンクアイボリー、パープルハート、漆）の木材を使用しました。全て天然の木の色そのままで、着色はしておりません。
麟鳳亀龍が現れるような、太平の世の中になってほしいという思いを込めました。
組子には500年の歴史があり、その技術は和風住宅の欄間や障子に活かされています。組子の発展には、技術力だけでなく芸術性を高めることが大事だと思っております。組子をより多くの方々に知っていただき、組子の新たな活路を見出していくことで、大切な日本文化を後世に伝えてまいりたいと思っております。
The theme of this piece is the interplay between four mythical creatures (qilin, phoenix, tortoise, and dragon) and the flowers blooming beside them. The work includes the traditional kumiko pattern of cherry blossoms, as well as the floral patterns of Wisteria and Chrysanthemum created using original techniques—all featuring multiple sawing strokes on each petal.
Particular attention was paid to the colors with a total of seven types of natural wood (walnut, Jindai Zelkova, Kiso cypress, Magnolia, pink ivory, purpleheart, and lacquer) used.
Kumiko woodworking techniques, which go back 500 years and are used in traditional Japanese houses, require artistic excellence in addition to technical skills. Our goal in exploring new avenues for its application is to pass on this important aspect of Japanese culture to future generations.
