村田 紘平 Kohei Murata
1977年京都府生まれ。西陣織（製糸部門）の伝統工芸士。西陣織 箔屋「楽芸工房」の3代目として、帯地の特徴である引箔の製造を行う。2019年に自社ブランド「nobegane」を立ち上げ、国内外のブランド、クリエイターとのコラボレーションなど、伝統工芸の枠を超えた新たなモノ作りに取り組んでいる。
Born in Kyoto in 1977, he is the third-generation owner of a company manufacturing the metallic threads for obi fabrics. In 2019, he launched his own brand to pursue new creations transcending the field of traditional crafts, including through collaborations with Japanese and international brands.

西陣織の帯地の特徴である絢爛豪華な金・銀の輝きは、引箔によって表現されています。引箔は古来、西陣織の中でも最高級品に用いられてきた材料の一つです。
親子3代にわたり大切に受け継いできた「五色金重ね」という引箔のデザインをベースに、大変希少な古箔（おおよそ140年前の金箔）を用いながら「光の移ろい」を表現した作品です。
箔は光源や見る角度によって全然違う表情に変わるのが特徴です。一日を通して、さらには移りゆく季節を通じて、光や影が映し出す箔の景色は、どのタイミングでも全然違ったものに見えるはずです。伝統の技と新しい感性が宿る煌びやかな世界をご堪能いただければ幸いです。
The shine of the dazzling gold and silver, a hallmark of Nishijin-ori fabrics, is achieved through the use of metallic threads. By adopting a gold leaf design passed down through the generations, this work uses rare antique gold leaf (about 140 years old) to represent the fluid movement of light.
One of the distinctive features of the gold leaf is how its appearance changes depending on the source of light and viewing angle, which make the gold leaf look completely different throughout the day and the year. Welcome to a dazzling world of traditional techniques and new sensibilities.
